Phishing attacks are increasing and getting more sophisticated

Lately, we have seen a rise in Phishing scams. As the use of technology increases, especially the use of emails and text messages, phishing scams are bound to increase.

The scammer sends the victim messages to fool the person in these scams. They ask them for credit card details and other personal information. These details are requested in return for something valuable.

These types of scams and attacks are becoming very structured and sophisticated nowadays. This is because the scammer knows precisely how to convince a person and get the work done, and because of this, more and more people are getting scammed by the day.

In six months, more than 225 million attacks have been found, which is a 61% increase in the rate of phishing attacks compared to 2021.

50% of the scams increased in mobile phones. Scammers are targeting mobile phones for scams lately.

“What we’ve been seeing is an increase in the use of voicemails and text as part of a two-pronged phishing and BEC campaigns,” said Jess Burn.

What should one do to save themselves from these scams?
